In honor of the 27th Annual MasterCraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 this weekend, I give you some vintage shots of JG in Baja. Enjoy.

In 1970, here he is with the Goodyear Grabber Olds 442.  Note the stylin’ threads.  JG was always ahead of the current trends.

In 1972 he had another Olds 442 built named “Banshee.”  Gotta keep cool out there racing in that desert! 

Ladies and Gentlemen:  Mark the date!  The 2013 General Tire/Presented by Polaris Mint 400 is back in town March 20 - 24th!

The 2012 Best In the Desert Racing Association defending Mint 400 UTV Pro Class Champions, Murray Racing’s Jason & Derek Murray,  will return piloting the #1917 all new 2013 Can-Am Maverick at this year’s event! Also new for 2013, riding under the Murray Racing banner, is the #1998 Aldrich Racing Can-Am Commander. Piloted by Monty Aldrich and Brian McClaughrey in the UTV Sportsman Class, it will be their first foray into the Mint 400, putting them into the history books of this storied event!

Please come on out and support Murray Racing’s teams!   There’s lots of race related events to see and do all week on The Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, NV.  Come hob nob with famous off-roader entrants like Robby Gordon, “Ballistic” BJ Baldwin, and even Patrick “Dr. McDreamy” Dempsey (as well as the “soon to be famous someday” drivers of the Murray brothers and Aldrich & McClaughrey) at driver meet and greets, while they hang out, or strolling around checking out their fellow competitors!  Check out all the cool race cars on display, shop for event swag from the vendors, and watch the vehicle parade.  There will be several spectator areas on race days for lots UP CLOSE - IN YOUR FACE - RACING ACTION!!!
